What if I told you

that the most powerful force in the universe is not the gravity that holds matter in its place

What if I told you it wasn’t the vibrations emitted from the vastness of the stars

Or the shifting of the earth that shakes all that is ours

But those subtle vibrations created by mouths… that we call words.

What if I told you

That while actions speak louder than words, actions do not penetrate the surface

You see in the midst of actions damaging the body, words seek and destroy the spirit,

And by Their cunning nature hand OVER the gun, convincing their victim to use it instead

What if I told you?

What if I told you

That the fall of man is just as much part of the gospel as Jesus’ saving work on the cross,

Because it wasn’t just his willingness but also our sinfulness that gave need to loss

What if I told you?

What if I told you

That the majority ISN’T right, and that it takes the bravery of the few to see TRUE morality take flight.

What if I told you

that you can be wrong, and I can be right, and you can be right and I can be wrong only WAIT!

I don’t wanna hear that… my head is too high in the clouds of my ego to admit that I’m wrong, but I am

So often I am…

What if I told you?

What if I told you

That words don’t have to hurt, words don’t have to kill

There’s only a small difference between “I love you” and “I hate you,” but that small the difference is real

Something as simple as the substitution of a verb changes every single article surrounding the word

It changes the brokenness that we seldom assume

It can even bring light to the darkest of rooms

What if I told you?

What if I told you

That a man isn’t defined by how many punches he throws, or how many women that he can take home

But by whether not he can say no in that moment, that, day,

And show the world how many punches he’s willing to take, for a cause

What if I told you?

What if I told you

That the greatest act of evil and the greatest act of love was the same event unfolding

From two different sides of the mirror

And that that singular moment was the ultimate murder

But That seemingly tiny vapor of time, was the greatest sacrifice on vibrant display

And that mercy and grace that’s required, still pouring out today!

What if I told you

That the Christian walk is freedom and captivity in the same contract

That upon claiming freedom from sin we bind ourselves to the only good master

Who calls those who serve him sons and daughters.

What if I told you?

What if I told you

That everything I just said was actually true?

Would it…could it…change everything??
