This life is what you make it. No matter what, you're going to mess up sometimes, it's a universal truth. But the good news is, YOU get to decide how you're going to mess up. Yes, YOU. No one has the power to mess you up. That power lies solely in your hands. You are the pilot, you control the panels. You decide how you mess yourself up. 
You will meet a lot of people in your life's journey. Some of them will be your friends, some will pretend to be your friend, but just remember, some will come and go and not all will stay. The ones that stay with you through everything, they're your true friends. Keep them close and don't let them go.
As for lovers, well, they'll come and go too. And I hate to say it, but pretty much all of them are going to disappoint you or hurt you or break your heart. But you can't give up on love. Because if you do, you'll never find the one who was meant to be with you. You'll never find that special someone who makes you feel whole, worthy, special and loved. 
And this whole giving up business? It applies to everything - every aspect and every area of your life. Just because you fail once, doesn't mean you're going to fail at everything. Never give up on yourself. Keep trying. Hold on. Always, always, always believe in yourself because if you don't, then who will? 
So hold your head high. Keep your chin up. Smile.
