Pablo Neruda,
Spanish poet
Nobel Prize for Literature in 1971
His Poem :
🌹"You start dying slowly"🌹
You start dying slowly ;
if you do not travel,
if you do not read,
If you do not listen to the sounds of life,
If you do not appreciate yourself.
You start dying slowly :
When you kill your self-esteem,
When you do not let others help you.
You start dying slowly ;
If you become a slave of your habits,
Walking everyday on the same paths…
If you do not change your routine,
If you do not wear different colours
Or you do not speak to those you don’t know.
You start dying slowly :
If you avoid to feel passion
And their turbulent emotions;
Those which make your eyes glisten
And your heart beat fast.
You start dying slowly :
If you do not risk what is safe for the uncertain,
If you do not go after a dream,
If you do not allow yourself,
At least once in your lifetime,
To run away.....
You start dying Slowly !!!

Nationalism is a great menace. It is the particular thing which for years has been at the bottom of India's troubles. And inasmuch as we have been ruled and dominated by a nation that is strictly political in its attitude, we have tried to develop within ourselves, despite our inheritance from the past, a belief in our eventual political destiny.

- If not us who and if not now when
I want pieces of my mind back.
I want people to look at other people and not see just skin color
Or religion, or gender, or opinions,
Or competition or sexual orientation
Or age or accents,
Or socioeconomic status,
Or physical appearance
Because the truth is we all have our past, our present, and our future.
We all have a few masks,
Our own distorted reflections,
Our own perceptions, our own guilt trips.
We all give and we all take.
We all think
We all see things and we all make mistakes.
We all have our own words, our own limitations, our own evolutions,
Our own pain, our own misfortunes,
Our own cultures, our own God's,
Our own normals.
We all have our own strengths and weakness's
Our own wants our own needs
Our own ailments
Our own hero's, our own enemies,
Our own supervillians,
Our own paths not yet taken,
Our own tune, our own music, our own voices
