THIS ONE'S FOR YOU UNCLE EDDIE R.I.P,.......

  • April 9th 1950, is a day to remember,
  • For a soldier was born, A name was needed, and one was given,
  • And there it was, and this it shall be,
  • Eddie Dean Middleton,
  • God given and one he had chosen,
  • And as you took your first breath,He filled your spirit with honor, and gave you a heart of gold, this gift of life God gave, and it was yours.
  • As You Did not know the life you would live, God had made plans as he had yours drawn out,
  • "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” – Jeremiah 29:11
  • And as you grew from a boy to the man,You lived, You loved, You felt joy, You felt pain, And through it all, God was there to see you through.
  • You married the love of your life, and only had one Son,
  • And as lovely as those times had seemed, Troubles were brewing, they came from afar, from across the seas, and there it was a war was born,
  • You enlisted in the Army to fight for our freedom, And with the courage of a lion, and feathered wings,
  • Like an American eagle You soared Through the sky,
  • And it was there that you found yourself in a foreign land fighting a war this was Vietnam.
  • “…But those who hope in the Lord, will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” – Isaiah 40:31
  • And though we weren't there to wittness the battle as you banded together with your brothers at arms,
  • together you faought and protected one another and prayed your way home,
  • As time had passed life went on, And though you survived the war,
  • Back at home you fought battles of your own.
  • But all in all God carried you through,
  • you pushed through your struggles, loved life and kept rolling on,
  • You worked daily nearly all of your life,
  • you was a carpenter on the Job, and a man of Grace at home,
  • And then one day out of the blue after living life to the fullest giving it your all,
  • September the 2nd, 2018, with family gathered around right by your side,
  • Those plans God had made, the ones he had drawn out, well you didnt know it but you had saw them through,
  • Luke 23:43, "And he said to him, “Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise.
  • And As you took your last breath many tears fell, while those you loved held on and mourned,
  • then the heavens opened up, cause an Angel was born, your spirit was free and then away you flew to your eternal home.
  • On the day of your funeral family and friends gathered, to pay there respects, and to give honor, And thanks for your service,
  • You were tride and true red white and blue, you served your country with pride and dignity, standing tall with the Army, together you fought battles, and these battles you won.
  • And as those 21 rounds gave way, and the flag covering you was folded,
  • A calmness came over, and there was peace in our hearts,
  • And in this final moment time stood still, as the folded flag was handed off to Mary, your only son gave his final salute,
  • This was the tribute owed to you, for in a moment of silence off to the heavens you flew....
