For every dreamer, there's a Dreamkeeper. Every time a Dreamkeeper is assigned to someone, They stay inside the dreams either as an object, person, or animal.I am here to tell you the story of one dreamkeeper in particular, Ryan. The story of how he fell in love. He had just grown old enough to be assigned a dreamer. It was his first day on the job, and he disguised himself as a tree. He saw his dreamer for the first time that day. She was a girl his age with long, black hair and blue eyes. Except today she wasn't having a dream, she was having a nightmare. She was running from a black figure with sharp teeth and claws. She was also alone in the dark forest screaming for help. He couldn't just sit there and do nothing, so he transformed into a human with short black hair and brown eyes. He took control of her dream and made the monster and forest vanish. Now they were in a meadow with a single willow tree. She curled up in a ball and was crying from The Nightmare Before. He walked over and sat next to her, hugging her, "shh... it's alright now. You're safe here." He said. She wiped her tears away and asked, "Who are you?" She didn't answer her. "Who are you?" She asked again. "My name is Ryan." He told her. "Nice to meet you. I'm Clara." She said. "Nice to meet you too." Then she woke up. She realized it was a dream, and wished to dream about to the boy that tonight. Late that night. She finally fell asleep and her wish came true. He was in his human form again and he put them in the meadow again. "You're still here." She said, smiling at him. "Yep. I'm still here." He replied, smiling back, showing his dimples. They sat there getting to know each other under the magical Willow Tree. As they talked, he realized he was falling for her. Then she said, "How am I dreaming, when you seem so real. You can't be just a dream, can you?" Ryan was surprised. How does she know that she's dreaming? He thought to himself. Then he said to her, "I'm a dream keeper. I can interact with your dreams and watch them." "Wait," She said. "Did you make that monster go after me?" "No." He explained,  "I saw you dreaming of it, and saw how scared you were, so I made it all disappear." She then said, "Wow. You're my hero. I'm hungry." He laughed at her randomness and then made a picnic appear. "Did you do that?" She asked. "Yeah." He said shyly. "That's amazing! This is so much better than the real world! I want to stay here forever!" He got nervous suddenly and said, "No! You can't! Wouldn't you miss your family?" She replied,  "No, my family died in a car crash when I was a toddler. It was a miracle that I survived. I've been an orphan ever since. You are the best person in my life. I think I love you." He loved her too, with all his heart, but human can't survive in the dream world. A tear rolled down his face as he did the hardest thing in his life, and said, "You can't. I'm sorry. Goodbye." He stopped the dream. She woke up, and cried all day. For weeks after that, she tried to dreaming of him again. She called for him, but never saw him again. He cried too. It broke his heart to let her go, but he had to, to save her life.
