For so long, I was still and silent, fighting waves and current. No matter how far I swam, I couldn't get anywhere. I kicked my feet furiously hard but still, the waves pushed me back.

I then got on a boat, thinking I would actually get somewhere. I pushed my arms hard and strong rowing with the waves. I rowed and rowed until I felt exhausted.

Pain and suffering don't seem to want to let me be. I cried for help, but in the vast deep ocean, no one heard me.

I decided to turn around and abandon the oars. I refused to allow the waves push me further into the open sea. I refused to wait for its murmurs to start. I was stubborn and determined. I kept fighting, refused to let the high waves beat me.

In the end, I beat the waves. I managed to crawl my way out of the darkness. Hopes and dreams that once were deep below surface, now come floating all around.

I know pain well enough to welcome life with a smile. I know my journey will be long and at times, difficult. But I also know I will make it across the ocean.

One day.
