Goodnight, sweet dreams

Don't let the bed bugs bite

She stares at the only thing that beams

Right next to her, a little night light

Nightmares, she's terrified

She's paralyzed from her fears

She wakes up from her own cries

Her pillow case is soaked from tears

Because she can't escape these things

The bullies, the monsters, the jerks

The misery that they bring

That time away was one of the perks

They were sneaky and followed her home

Where she hoped they wouldn't find

The only place she could be alone

Somewhere deep inside her mind

The deep dark circles under her eyes

Why? She couldn't sleep

Obviously you didn't see all her tries

You told her to count some sheep

You didn't know what it was like

That there could be any harm

To dream of falling of your bike

And waking up with a broken arm
