The air smells different !
Simran, wake up,wake up.....' ,my little sister Lily was waking me up.
It was 2 o' clock at night. I was in a deep sleep after a long day full of chores.
I immediately recognized her sound and woke up horrified.By her horrified voice Samy,our big brother came running down from the 1st floor.
'Sis ,sis there is something, somet..thing out there in the w...oods.I ...saw something out of the kitchen window when I was drinking water...'Lily was fumbling with the words,she was very very nervous.
By that time, Samy had arrived in my room.He too shocked by her dreadful look.
He was three years older than me.
Lily was 2 years younger than me.She had turned fourteen the last month.She was a very lively,cute and a witty girl. But now, she was horrified,she was on the edge.
But today ,unfortunately our parents had gone for a very important meeting in Liston, 10 kilometers from our residence in Briston . 
Briston was a small lying to the north western coast of the States which worked at a much slower pace then the rest of the country.It was a beautiful and peaceful town with houses lying far away from each other, enclosed by the woods from three sides and the lake Crystal Blue on the other side. 
Yes it exactly represented it's name
. As clear as a crystal. With the water while calm had so many different hues of blue, perfectly reflecting the bright blue sky, near the shore it was pale blue, nearly translucent, as it got deeper it changed from pale blue to deep, deep dark blue. It's serene landscape always managed to clear my mind after the hectic schedule of the day.
The soothing sound of the waves, the bright reflection of the milky white moon in the sky and the fresh cool breeze making the leaves of the nearby trees rustle reminded of the small piece of heaven I lived in.

As our parents had informed us , they would take at least 3 days to finish their work there and return home. My mom PROCELLA and dad AECOR worked for a secret agency which they never even revealed the name to us! 
They always said that if we knew the truth, then our life wouldn't be safe and they would not be able to concentrate on their work if they had gone far away from the town for their work.
I would always get agitated at their answers as well as would Lily and Samy as when at the start of each new academic year we had to lie to our teachers and well our friends of our parents real profession!
Though they would always share quality time with us and would always be there for us when we needed them. So no matter wherever they worked and how much ever they were engrossed in their work, we all loved them from the bottom of our heart.
But as I grew up I realized that their concern was a reasonable one and so I had stopped throwing tantrums some years ago but just on one condition that they would tell us the reality when the time was right and we were mature enough for it. Till the we had no option but to wait...
The quick rustling in the leaves brought me back to the present situation.
'Hey, Lily calm down! Look up,look up at me.' I tried to calm her down.
But she was nowhere even near to it. She was soaked in sweat, her heart was beating thunderously, she had goosebumps all over,tears were rolling down her cheeks!
I rubbed her back and made her sit on my bed,Samy lighted the lamp and gave her some water to drink.
She was a fun loving , and always smiling girl. But I don't known today what has taken over her.
By now she had relaxed a bit. But the horror in her eyes was terrorizing
'Lil,take a deep breath. What did you see in the woods? I ask.
We both then listened to her,
'Sis, Sam, when I saw out of the window, I saw a very strange shadow, I am sure.. it was not that of man or a beast. It was something very different,it radiated a lot of light,not that of a torch or car headlight,it was bright blue as if the river water was radiated in the form of light.... And in an instant it was gone..gone..
I... then tried to calm myself and think as if it was a bad vision and tried to sleep in my room. And af...ter a few seconds I heard a kn...ock on my window. Scared, horrified when I looked up it..it was the same bright blue light seeing through the win....Dow.
Not thinking anything I came running in your room....'
We both couldn't take in what Lily was saying. But she wouldn't tell a lie at this time of night.
And then there was a knock at the door.....?....!
