REGRET
• She sat looking at the shiny, red sun, as it slipped slowly into the the sea , gathering the darkness from all sides, dropping , the curtain of darkness on the earth. Deep inside, she felt the pangs of guilt spilling over,a tragic loss now lost forever somewhere in the vast overhead.She could see a girl running carefree, laughing at the sun,trying to run, trying to fly, keeping up with unborn dreams,set somewhere in the distant horizon. She could hear her mother in the background calling her back, but the Dreams, oh the Dreams were like the calling of the wild !She kept running , flying hair streaming behind her,cheeks flushed ,lips smiling ,eyes shinier than diamonds filled with all the colours of the rainbow, chasing her dreams.She climbed the ladder of success ,the centre of attraction,surrounded by so called friends She did not need anyone-she was complete and happy in her dream bubble. She soared high Up,Up into the sky ,suddenly darkness engulfed her she stumbled, fell into a vast ocean of emptiness and tears,dreams crushed, shattered, burnt and all alone!No one claimed, her friends disappeared like sunshine on a rainy day her .Now she remembered her forgotten family ,her childhood ,her sanctuary . Why or why had she left him behind,her best friend, her buddy her partner in crime, her Rock ,her refuge in stormy weather! Her little brother.Oh how she wished she had not run after those Mesmerising butterflies of life!He was left alone at home , sitting so obediently at the study table ,waiting for his sister to return ,that sister,who had run off to pursue her dreams only to return to find her abode had burned down not by fire, but by envy and jealously ,the brother she left was gone somewhere far away chasing his Butterfly.The butterfly that had led to her distraction ,very soon drowned him in the sea of the cooperative world ,of which he had no experience, flew him to his abyss of no return.He succumbed to a broken heart and latter ended his life.The life which She could have saved but did not.She slowly got up and made her way slowly to her dark home to repent in silence and get ready to face another day of Loss all alone!
