If I were to ask you
What is the definition of loving someone?
What does it mean when I say the words I love you?
I’ve seen you multitude of times aimlessly throw the phrase around
Saying the words and giving someone the feeling of satisfaction
That they are loved
But you probably don’t  know the real meaning
Or power behind the phrase
The way you see it is
Basically infatuation
Or admiration for a specific person
You don’t see it as the way it’s intended
When telling someone you love them
You are telling them a thousand things
Within one phrase
You are telling them you want to see a future for that person
They motivate you to do better
You bounce inspiration off each other
The person understands your wierd quirks
And accepts them completely
Having that person in your life has made you so much happier
Than you anticipated
You want a forever together future with that person
You see their flaws but don’t frown upon them
Instead helps embrace them
You see the pain within them and
Are always there when they need comfort
When they get a broken heart you are prepared to stitch it back up
You love that person unconditionally
You establish this unbreakable level of trust with one another
You know that you aren’t alone
Because you have them to lean on when the time ensues
Such a broad statement
When saying I love you
Yet you still think aimlessly throwing the words around
Is the correct intention for it
You confuse infatuation with loving someone
Two complete opposites
Two sides of a spectrum
That you can’t see clearly
