I watched as you walked away 
Encasing me in the shadows of bewilderment and wonder 
I caught myself yearning for answers 
As the hunger for understanding overtook me 
I want to understand how you can break something 
Just as quickly as you made it
I want to understand how you were able 
To break the very that loved you
You chose to turn a blind eye to the things you did
You chose to let the very heats that loved you drown in despair 
You let them be tormented by your actions 
And like a coward you kept away
You kept yourself away from the very hearts you broke 
You had your chances to mend our hearts 
Yet you chose to stay in the shadows 
I want to understand but I can’t 
When you left the shattered hearts broken without an attempt of repair
