Vampires Clans: There are four clans of Vampire in Way Wood, the Aztec, Maya, K'uei and Lidèrc

The Aztecs are born vampires, the most strongest of all. With human like traits they can blend in quite well with humans, although all vampires are immortal the Aztecs are capable of turning a human into one of them, though rare. Aztec vampires use humans as a 'blood bank' using our hospitals as a source of blood supply. But they will hunt and kill if threatened with starvation.

The Maya vampires are a blend of all four clans but only consist of female Vampires and run by the Maya Queen Lera. They are vampires that don't approve of male dominancy and believe females have as much right as male vampires. Over the years Maya vampires have been able to adapt to survival quite well with the aid of Queen Lera's spies. They gather as much information from all clans and bring it back to use for themselves.

K'uei clan (also known as bloodlust vampires) though born killers, most Vampires of K'uei are actually Aztec soldiers turned traitor after the killing of there previous Lord, Azmec Tyron. In a bid to wade war with the new Aztec Lord the Aztec soldiers formed an aliance with the K'uei clan. Any Aztec vampire to wonder into their land are destined for death. It's where the name bloodlust first came from. But they won't hesitate to kill and hunt on humans too.

Lastly the Lidèrc clan not much of a clan though as this just consists of one lone Vampire. Lidèrc was the name given to him by a vampire Lord. Lidèrc in vampire terms means halfling. Half Vampire, half Warewolf. Lidèrc (real name, Marcus) is actually Queen Lera's son. He was born with the blood and all the traits of a vampire and it's imortallity but with the strength and agility of a warewolf and when the moon is full Marcus's true strength and power come to light. The one all vampires fear most is that of a halfling because although immortal, Marcus is the only vampire to be able to walk both day and night and not have to rely on blood to survive.

This is where Marcus' story begins.
