It was miles away from home

Where he laid her down without permission.

He refused to leave that girl alone

Now we arguing about what she was wearing.

Sunshine never seem so bright

Anytime such news is broadcasted.

Nightmares prove they can exist in light.

Why did that man do what he did?

That girl is raped all too often

To a chorus of justification and hatred.

Some are escorted to Heaven

And we still politicking like she isn't dead.

There are subtle ways of being a murderer

Just look how we treat the victims each time.

Next time we just might lose our sister

And we would have no right to lose our minds
