Lava burns deep inside
singeing my already wounded pride
Can I make it on my own
or is this life all I'll know
Always on the outside looking in,
wondering exactly where I should stand
I deserve this bed I've made
Sleeping in this homemade cage
I have always been my own worst enemy
and I don't know how to set myself free
