The torture of not knowing, self-doubt messing with his head, the anxiety kicking in..... I feel for this dude. Nice work. I feel that this is a story that you can develop further. Like, what really is her angle? Is she interested to be his date to the ball? Does she feel the same way about him or is it a one-sided thing on his part?
