Behind dark eyes
She hides

Covering her face from the world
From the judgemental glares

She didn't make this bed
She doesn't deserve to sleep in it

She deserves so much more
She shouldn't feel so poor

One person affects her so much
Keeping her from opening up

Coming off as someone who doesn't care
But that is oh so wrong

For she cares more than most
More than she should

About those she shouldn't
Focused so hard on things so little

People don't understand her
Her nature
Her words
Her eyes

They don't know what she hides behind them
So full of truth, covering so many lies

Hiding from the world
Behind a mask

A smile for the world to see
Keeping her words from coming free

Not to show what is running through her mind
People are so blind

When one notices shes hidning 
She runs far away

Pushes them until one day
They give up

There is no hope for her
SO she thinks

But there is hope for all
She says it all the time

Everyone has a purpose
Everyone is meant to be here

So why can't she make herself see that
Why can't she show the world what she is

But she does
For what she hides

Pushes her everyday
Motivates her in every way

Keeps her running 
Keeps her sane

Because she refuses to let
Someone so worthless

Control her future
She will be someone 
And in this world she will always remain
