These words
These lonely days

Nights away
Trapped in my mind
The days go on
With a fake smile
With a fake profile

For pretending
Is my best talent
Not fake
But merely a mistake 

Mistaken for one who has no deep thoughts
Mistaken for everything I'm not 
Mistaken and taken

Taken over by my mind
Taken over and not so kind

Trying to help
Trying to fix

You can't fix me
You can't heal me 

Trying to look at me 
Appearing as a broken mirror

No matter how much you try to
You can't put me back together


I'll never reflect what you want to see
Becoming years of bad luck
For being who I am
For being what I am
