As I look around me
The world becomes so different 
So full of love
So full of hate 

Hate is hard to keep away
But sometimes it's the only way 

The person you hate 
May have a perfect fate

Caught in the darkness of your despair
Beyond fixing, unless you disappear 

 But that is not the answer
When you put all your focus on hate
The love slowly fades 

Until one day you realize
That not every part of life has to be a lie

You don't have to be
Stuck in a hole
Where you feel you can never escape
Wanting to cry, where no one will hear 

Well listen my dear
Because I do hear

And that hole of which you hide
Is just the closet in your mind

For I know how you feel
And I hear your tears
Because it's me crying

It's me crying in fear
Where there is no love
Where there is no cheer

Where does that leave me 
Alone and sad 
Going crazy, and the slightest bit mad

But I cannot let it take me over 
Lost in my mind 
Trying to leave the past behind 

That's not the answer
For you cannot forget the past
Because the past helps guide your future
Even when it seems so unsure

Hold on tight, for life is a journey
Take a deep breath
Inhale the fresh air
Don't let yourself get lost in the darkness of your despair
