I joined Pa cyber In 2012 while I was In the fourth grade. I was 10 years old when I first started Pa cyber. We started with self paced schooling since both my parents were working and my little brother was only three. I’m not going to lie it was pretty different than when I was in Brick and mortar school. I kept getting bullied at my other school and with my family expanding we had to switch schools. The way it was taught and the material was different though. I had a hard time understanding anything and often failed assignments because of it. My Dad would try and help me with math homework but I would just sit in my chair staring at him because I had no clue what to say. My Mom was even pregnant with my little sister Julia at the time so yay me I was just adding more stress into their already crazy lives. Now me being 10 I had no idea what it even meant but my Mom found out I had comprehension issues. She decided to schedule an appointment for perception issues. It turned out my eyesight was terrible I had one lazy eye and my sight was probably bad for years. After that yeah I still sucked at math because let’s be honest that is certainty not my fortay. I was getting barter at assignments and although I didn’t have perfect comprehensions skills they were improving. My little sister had been born so I was able to play with her. We switched to virtual classes and my Dad would award us if we got A or Bs with letting us play pinball on his xbox. We had loved and designed a school room in the new house. A few years later and Julia’s in preschool and my brothers in second grade. I had moved my school area to my room and we made the other room a play room. My Mom was able to go back to work along with my Dad as well. With me doing virtual schooling I’m able to pick up Julia from school which Is awesome because it’s a chance for us to talk. I was also recently inducted into National Junior Honeor Society which was one of my goals since I joined Pa Cyber. It was a goal my Mom didn’t think I would accomplish.

None of this would have happened had I went to Brick and Mortar still. Yeah it wasn’t very easy switching school methods. If I hadn’t though my comprehension skills would most likely still suck and I probably would’ve been held back at least once. My Mom wouldn’t have been able to work. The bullying could have continued and gotten worse.

Joining Pa Cyber was the best possible decision I could have ever made.

I start school Tuesday!👏🏻👏🏻😀🙂
