Dane Smith, is known as one of the most richest CEOs in the world, and his person said to have a net worth of a 100 million. He owns the largest tech company, SmithTech, and leads the company from milestone to milestone, capturing a huge international market share and brings in billions of dollars every year. 

Most people know about him as a great, talented and inspirational figure who appears on the news regularly regarding the release of innovative and world-changing tech products and services. They listen to his hearty laugh as he confidently proclaims, “Give value to the world, and the world will value you as a person.” 

Right now, this same charming man is now sweating profusely beneath his suit, and instead of a smile, he wears a taut frown and a serious glare. As he strides through the dimly lit hallways, office workers desperately dart left and right to let him pass. Nearby, a female colleague whispered to her friend, “Oh, it’s THAT time of the year, huh?”

A newly employed young man looked confused at this turn of events. “What happened? Did something happen to the company? Is something wrong with the company’s stocks?” He thought desperately. The other office workers who were idling before dashed out of the hallway while the young man followed Mr Smith into the meeting room. 

“Let’s get down to business!” Mr Smith commanded after flinging the doors open, and the other staff turned to face him. Mr Smith walked briskly and sunk into the large leather seat at the end of the table. The young man quickly sat on his seat. 
Mr Smith clasped his broad hands together. A shadow is cast over his face.

Silence ensued for a few seconds.

“Sir... what is this about?” The young staff meekly asked, and felt more anxious when the others turned to stare at him.

“No, it’s fine to ask,” Mr Smith started as he raised his hand, “you see this is a very urgent situation-“

“My daughter is entering grade school next month! How did I not prepare for that.” Mr Smith placed his face in his hands. People around the table started gasping in horror and sympathy.

Oh, okay your daughter- this isn’t about the company! The young man is at a loss of words. 

And it is because, even though Dane Smith was an intelligent, charismatic and wealthy man, he is also a single father who does not the first thing about how to raise his daughter.
