It was late in the afternoon and the train was shaking as it rushed to the station. Near the front, a couple began to talk.
"Honey, this is the dream-sharing stone I told you about!" The wife said, pulling out a red stone shaped as half a heart.
"The dream.. what?"
"Dream-sharing stone! It's the super popular new thing that connects couples in their dreams."
"Really? How does it work?"
"All you have to do is place your half under your pillow and fall asleep! Whoever has the other half has to do it as well and then both will be able to see each other in their dreams."
"Thats.. amazing! Who knew something like this would be real?"
"I know right!" 
The couple continued to chat away. The man behind them had been eavesdropping on their conversation.
"Man, that stone has saved my life." He thought to himself as the train halted to a stop at the station.

"Jake! Jake, over here!" A woman yelled from the station platform, waving to the man from before. He smiled and walked over to her.
"Martha! It's good to see you."
"Wow, it's been two weeks since I last saw you. Have you gotten skinny? You've been eating, right?"
"Of course honey. Why would I skip out on food?"
"Hm, I suppose that's true."
"So, where do you wanna eat?"
"I heard there's a really good sushi place down the road from our apartment."
"Great! Let's go."
They had spent almost two hours at the restaraunt. It was amost midnight when they had returned to their apartment, getting ready for bed.
"Honey, I notice that I haven't seen you in my dreams as often." Martha said, lating down next to her boyfriend.
"It's because of work. I've been working late so when I get home I fall asleep quick, but never into a deep sleep. Maybe that's why."
"Huh, I see. Hey! I'll grab my stone so we can share our dream!" She sat up, but her arm was grabbed by Jake.
"But why? Shouldn't it be enough just to see each other? I mean, there's no point to use it." He saud warily. She looked back at him, thinking carefully.
"Alright, I suppose that's true." And she laid back down.

When Martha was sure Jake was sleeping, she cracked an eye open. She sat up and slowly felt under his pillow. She pulled out a red stone and her eyes widened.
"What's this about?" She thought to herself. She got up and went to her dresser, where her very own dream-sharing stone was sitting. She grabbed it and tried to connect it with the one she had found.
"What! It doesn't fit mine! Who is he sharing dreams with?" She said to herself. She looked back at Jake, who was sleeping peacefully and she laid back down. She placed the stone she had found under her pillow and closed her eyes.
"Let's see the owner of this one."
