I cried today,I wept tears from deep within.I mourned a passing,A passing of a friend.A soul few would recognize,For within body of a cat,That soul came within.I cried today, like yesterday.His time here brief,His impact felt far and wide.Loving, caring and wiseHe gave to all who came his way.Through laughter and play,Healing wounds, he found a way.Though to begin with he’d been just a stray.Yes, I cried, wept and prayed today,For the friend I lost yesterday© 2018 Dell Anne RayeAll Rights Reserved .
