If she listened closely, she could hear the crunching sound of leaves as two little kids ran over them, giggling the whole way.

It was summer, which meant that they would spend their days running, playing games, and spending time with each other.

People would always see them running. One red haired boy, and one red haired girl, chasing each other until the sun disappeared.

She could practically feel what they were feeling, see the things they saw. She could remember those memories as clear as the sky above them as they skipped and pranced.

She could see them: talking, playing games, pulling pranks on one another. She could feel their happiness, their pain, their laughter.

She could see them sitting together, spending every moment of their life together.

Then she woke up.

The sky was no longer gleaming when she looked out her window. It was filled with clouds, blocking out the precious sunlight that once filled her life.

The red haired woman sighed heavily, tears beginning to stream down her face before she prepared for the day.

Wearing all black, she stepped outside and into the car awaiting her arrival. She didn't bother saying hello. She didn't bother saying anything. Shs simply stared out the window.

It had grown darker by the time she arrived, and in the distance, she could see a small group of people wearing all black, just like her.

She approached them, making small talk, bsfore it ended abruptly. She could see four men coming their way, holding a long rectangular box. They all grew silent as they set it down gently and opened it.

Inside was a red haired man, whom she had known her whole life. Whom she had shared her secrets with. The one person in the world she had depended on.

And as he was lowered into the ground, she couldn't help but let out a sob. She had promised him she would be strong, but she couldn't, and the tears slowly began to fall. She couldn't help but wish her dream was still here. That her dream would last a little longer, but that wasn't the case.

After all, dreams aren't reality.
