It all began on that night in the town square where Anna was passing through to get to her house two blocks away. The wind was chilly making the leaves sway back and forth fiercely like a tidal wave crashing down on the shore. Anna shivered as she quickly paced toward the other side of the square where a small tree stood next to the old wooden park bench. She sat down for a few moments behind the tree looking up at the night sky. The sky was beautiful and mysterious making her fascinated with the stars and the gifts it bestows upon the human world. Her grandmothet who had told her stories about the stars and everyone's relations to them. How each person has their own star. They were sort of like a guardian angel that helps people find their fate. Looking at her feet she noticed a few shadows on the middle of the square. Afraid to turn around or move she silenced her breathing not noticing she dropped her star necklace. “Hello Parker. It has been what three hundred years since we last chatted. Are you still upset that you were banished from our society?” A deep voice spoke. “No it was you that betrayed our society. You blamed me and of course our father believed you! Out of all people how in the hell can you be trusted?!” Parker bellowed. “I have my ways.” He spoke possibly smiling. “Well whatever they are they are not ways of our people. You are not prince material you are a scum to me. An insult in my eyes and a thorn in my side Victor.” Parker growled. A long moment passed and a sneeze echoed into the square. “Do you know that a human is here?” Victor glared behind the park bench. Anna froze completely wondering how they knew. “Yes I do but we cannot harm the person for she is not apart of this! Lets settle this somewhere else." “I do not think that's a good idea. We cannot let it inform whomever is in the government about our existence and you know that well enough. Remember what happened to Ginna, your long time girlfriend.” Peter smirked. “Ginna is dead because of you not me.!” Anna sensed his rage building and started to run with all her might. Victor grinned as he went after her. Parker followed, his eyes on Anna, hoping Victor would not kill her. “Where do you think youre going?” Victor said standing in front of her his emerald eyes staring into hers. Anna jumped out of her skin almost falling backward. "who are you and what the hell do you want!" She whispered trembling. “Do not be alarmed I cannot hurt you no matter how tempted I am in doing so. Besides you're not attractive. You're a waste of my time. " “Back off Victor. Let her go and stop being a bully.” Parker stood behind him. Anna froze, her eyes scanning for another way out. Her heart pounded as they came closer. She stepped back until she felt a cool cement wall touch her back. Parker looked at her for a brief moment hoping Anna knew that he, at least, did not mean no harm. "Who are you and what do you want?"-She asked repeated trembling with fear. "We want nothing. We are going to erase your memory and you will not recall anything." Parker insisted wanting to let her get away "Or instead of that you can make a blood choice." Victor grinned. "Come on Vic leave her alone. She is too scared to move." Victor looked at Anna distastefully. "Well, the least she could do is dress better. God she is hideous!" What an asshole. Anna rolled her eyes mockingly. Parker shoved Victor out of the way making a way for Anna to escape. "Go and never look back." He hollered. Chapter One Anna woke up shivering as sweat poured off her neck.
