Category : Books-Fiction

Sub Category : Suspense/Mystery

April had spent the remainder of the day with her family. Talking, catching up on everything she had missed. But everything was far from over. April had recieved a call from William, explaining how there had been two more deaths.

He also explained how the murderer was Judy Jenson, which was why she was currently driving back. She didn't have a lot of time. Both Will and Lucifer suspect she'll be trying to kill everyone that knew her, and now that April knew the truth, that meant Lucifer, herself, and Audrey were all in trouble.

She just hoped she could get there in time.

                        ....................

"L, do you know when April's gonna come back home?" Audrey asked him, staring out the window of his cell. He had been moved back to the police office ever since the murders had begun.

"Soon. Very soon." He said, giving her a thumbs up. She sighed and started to fiddle with her hair.

"L, is it true that people are dying?" Lucifer stared at her for a moment.

"Yes. It's true."

"It's not you....is it?"

"No, of course not. These ones are....different." Just then, both Audrey and Lucifer could hear the door creak outside. Heavy footsteps echoed down the hallway.

"Willy! Is that you?" Audrey yelled from the cell. No one replied, and Lucifer began to grow worried as the footsteps came closer.

Eventually, the door creaked open, and the last person Lucifer wanted to see was standing in the doorway.

His mother stood there with a crooked smile, grey hair, and pitch black clothes.

"My darling boy! I'm so glad I found you!" She said, spreading out her arms in what seemed like a welcome. Lucifer stared at her through the cell, his grip tightening on the bars that seperated him and Judy Jenson.

"Aw, what's this, you aren't gonna greet your own mother? I thought I taught you better." She said, her eyes narrowing. Her gaze flickered to Lucifer, then to Audrey, who sat frozen in the corner.

"Who's this?" She asked, taking a step toward her. "Why don't you tell me your name dear?"

"A-Audrey." She whispered. Judy leaned slightly closer to her.

"What's that? You need to speak up."

"Audrey." Judy studied her intently, then reached a hand for her.

"Don't you dare lay a finger on her!" Lucifer yelles from his cell, causing Judy to stop and smile at him.

"Do you think I'll hurt her? Oh no, I wouldn't dream of it." She reached forward and started to stroke Audrey's cheek, causing her to flinch away from her cold fingers. Lucifer stared at her coldly through the bars, soon tensing up as she stepped away from Audrey and approached him instead.

"Son, I have to ask, where did you learn such rude manners?" And she lunged through the bars, grabbing onto his wrist tightly. She squeezed hard on his metal stitches, causing them to dig deep into his skin and draw blood.

"What do you want?" He asked through clenched teeth, the blood seeping through his clothes, dripping onto the floor.

"Simple. I want all of you dead. As soon as your little wife comes back, I'll kill her, that Johm Baxter fellow, and take Audrey. She'll be perfect for my next little psychopath." She released him and he stumbled backwards, clutching his arm to his chest.

"I'll kill them both in front of you so you can suffer, and then the day after you'll be executed. You'll die knowing there was nothing you could do to save them." And she smiled at him one last time, patted Audrey on the head, and stalked out the door.
