Have you ever felt like everyone in the world thinks they know you? Like they know more about you than even you do? When actually they really don't have a clue. They don't know why you do the things you do, or why your favorite color is blue. They don't see it because they didn't grow up the way you grew. Oh but if only they knew.

If they could go back and see your past, they might change their minds pretty fast. Like maybe if they knew that at four her whole world crashed, her heart was broken and put into a cast. Now she no longer believes that love lasts. She trusts no one, not even the few friends that she has. Abused and abandoned she feels like a piece of trash, but she'll do her best to hide behind the mask.

And when they look at her that's what they'll see. They'll just see a girl with a smile that lost her identity. Fake it till you make it because there is no remedy. They'll sit right beside her and not realize how broken she might be. They won't know she lost her brother at the age of fifteen. That they were only a year apart, he was only sixteen. All night she tosses and turns, but she can't sleep because the loss of a loved one comes with a fee. All you have left are the memories. It's just not enough, I think you'll agree. For more time with him is her only plea. But they'll never know, they'll just think she's happy.

But, if you look beyond her eyes, you can see the truth from the lies. You will find the answers to all the whys. You'll see how hard she tried, to hold back tears, not allowing you to see her cry. You'll see that she says she's okay, but inside she dies. You begin to realize you never actually knew this girl and what she hides. Everything you thought you knew starts to collide as her walls break down and you get a glimpse inside.
