                         Last Part

This Writing Is Based On True Events

Since her step-father was in the military, this lead to him being absent in their lives, the longest being for 9 months.

Hazel saw this as a moment of peace, for their step-father was quite abusive, especially when they did something wrong. And their mother, well, she sat and watched. After all, their step-father was the boss of the house.

Two years after, another one of Hazel's sisters were born on January 1st of 2016, and Hazel loved her dearly. Her newest sister, Alexis, was her escape from life, though she still loved her other sisters equally.

They would sleep together every night after she no longer clinged to their mother. It was that same year that Hazel's step-father got out of the military. He spent most of his time staying home, playing games or lying on the couch.

Their mother was rarely home anymore because of her two jobs, which left Hazel to care for her three sisters.

On April 21st of 2017 Hazel's grandmother died. Of course, their mother no longer wanted contact with them, so she wasn't able to say her goodbyes.

On March 13th if 2018 her mother and step-father got a divorce, and she currently lives with her mother and her new boyfriend, visiting her two younger sisters once every two weeks.

She is now a 14-year old sophomore, having 5 years of experience playing the flute and has played in a marching band for two of those years.

She sees her sisters from time to time, but feels as though it's never enough. She misses them. She missed how she would snuggle with Alexis every night.

She never wanted to move. Never wanted to leave her family back in Hawaii. She wishes she could see her real dad again.

She wished that she could have gone to her grandmother's funeral, that she could have said goodbye.

She's never told anyone this. Not her mother, step-father, or even her older sister. She just wants everyone to be happy, and no one's happy if someone complains, so she keeps quiet and stays strong.
