Growing up in our society as a Girl Child is so herculean a task, so much so that, everything about the Girl Child becomes so painful. 
It becomes imperative to note that this pain lives with the Girl Child at a young age of 12 when she would be expecting her flowers and becomes extant for a great part of her life. 
Albeit being thought in schools before it comes, it still scares us. Learning about sexual harassment would always send a chilly shiver down the spines of a girl child and form the craziest nightmare she would have growing up as a girl. 
In the light of the above assertion, A Girl Child in my neighborhood was raped by street dwellers because she rejected their love advances. It is not a gainsay to state the fact that some teens who by happenstance become Mothers re not actually rape victims but carry baby that would grow not ever knowing its father or perpetually denied by its father. 
Following this, it becomes pertinent for every Girl Child to have a mentor or guardian who would teach her the DOs and DON'Ts. Parents should play their role of parenting, teaching each Girl Child the ways to follow that they would never depart from it.   The society has trust issues, so much so that, no Girl Child should be left under the care of any man in the guise of "Uncle " as great number turn out to be wolfs in sheep clothing.  Parents should endeavor to be there for their Girl Child.  She should be ur news paper, let your Girl Child  become ur carrier, invest ur time and wisdom in her ultimately train your child especially the Girl Child in a way she should thank you later in life.
