I long to feel warmth

That I did not make.

As winter deepens

So my heart becomes ice.

Life is wondrous like the stars,

They sparkle at night,

But are far away today,

Like a woman's unrequited love.

Summer will come soon.

But will winter fade in my heart?

Where is my love?

He carries an arrow of fire that will melt my heart.

The resemblance you bear with him is striking.

Yet the arrow in your hand seems to have no flame.

So patiently, or perhaps in delusion,

I wait for you to set it alight
