I was deeply saddened today watching  Trey Gowdy R-SC chair his sham interrogation of FBI agent Peter Strzok. Goudy employed an aggressive question/interrupt/overtalk tactic with the intent to make Special Agent Strzok and the FBI at large appear to have been focused on destroying Trump's campaign. Despite Goudy's and the other Republicans efforts, Special Agent Strzok made a clear case that despite his personal distaste for candidates Trump, Clinton and Bernie Sanders as expressed in his text messages to his girlfriend, he did absolutely nothing from his professional capacity to undermine any of them. In fact, while knowing that an FBI investigation was under way of the Trump campaign's linkage to Russia in late July 2016, he never said a word to a single reporter. People can have a political opinion and still perform the duties of their job in a fair and unbiased manner. It was clear today that Gowdy and his Republican hatchet team did not meet Strzok's level of unbiased professionalism. We need an investigation into why these Congressional Republicans seem to be so hard pressed to ignor all the evidence of Russian linkage to the Trump campaign. Why are they so desparate to delegitimize the Mueller investigation? Why were they so intent on pursuing Benghazi and Clinton's emails, duration and cost be damned? Neither of those investigations involved a foreign government's thumbprint on our democratic process. The only plausable explanation is they, the Republican leadership, are working in concert with Putin's spawn. They who have accepted Russian cyber crime and money for their electoral benefit must be brought to justice. The Putin Puppet Show must be terminated.
