"We'll check for you." The librarian said, smiling up at April who breathed a sigh of relief. "Name?"
"Her current name is Audrey Baxter. I don't know what her name was before my father adopted her."
"Alright. Give me just a moment." The librarian clicked a few keys, her eyes glued to the computer screen.
"Oh, well, lucky for you her original family is still in town. I'm surprised they haven't moved."
"Really? Where!?"
"Her father has been reported dead and the mother....somewhere else. She still has a grandfather, an aunt, uncle and a great aunt. I'll give you the address." And she wrote it down neatly on a slip of paper and handed it to her. April thanked her and walked out of the library.
..................
It didn't take long for her to find the address. It was a simple house, and they even had their own farm. April couldn't help but smile: she had always wanted to live on a farm.
Sbe walked up to the door and knocked gently, seeing there was no doorbell. The door was opened suddenly and a huge German Sheperd leaped out, tackling her to the ground and licking her face.
"Buster! Come on, I have no time today." A boy yelled. Well, not necessarily a boy. He looked about two years younger than April.
"Sorry about that." He said, pulling the dog, Buster back.
"Its fine." April said, chuckling.
"You should be thankful he didn't bite your leg off. He's usually quite violent to strangers."
"Aw, he's nothing but a sweatheart." He stared at her for a moment, slightly confused before he asked:
"What are you here for?"
"Oh, yes. I came here looking for the relatives of someone." The boy stiffened and April could see a slight look of panic in his eyes.
"W-who?"
"Audrey Baxter. Well, that's her current name. She's 12, has dark brown hair and eyes." The boys eyes widened and he backed into the house.
"C-Carl! Someone's here to see you!" He yelled into the house, taking one last look at April before he sprinted inside. A moment later, the man from the bar appeared, looking just as surprised as April.
The boy from before whispered something in his ear before disappearing yet again.
"What do you want to know about her?" He asked, looking at her warily.
"I'm sorry for bothering you but I've been living with her my whole life...and I just figured out a few days ago that she was adopted. Please, I just wanted to know more about her family."
"And what's your name?"
"April. April Baxter." His eyes widened and he took a step back.
"Are...are you serious?" He asked. April nodded her head and his eyes grew angry.
"This had better not be some kind of joke Monroe's playing on me."
"I assure you, it's not."
He stared at her before slight tears began to form. Concerned, she took a step toward him but he waved her away.
"If...if you come back tomorrow, I'll tell you everything you want to know."
"But-"
"Tomorrow." And he gently closed the door. She stood there baffled, before heading back to ber hotel, more confused than ever.

"Haha! You lose again!" Audrey said, laughing at L's stunned expression.
"Wait a second, no! I call another rematch!"
"But why? You're just gonna lose again."
"Am not! You must be cheating or something." Just then, William barged into the room but stopped at the sight of Audrey.
"Hey, Audrey, you don't mind if I talk to L right? Just for a couple of minutes."
"Of course! Just don't ask him to play you a game of Uno." Audrey left the room. William turned to L with a confused smile on his face.
"Uno?"
"She beat me in four games."
"Pfft. I thought the great mind of a murderer would at least be able to beat a 12-year-old in a game of Uno."
"Well, how about you play her a game and I judge you when you lose?"
"No, no, I'm good. I actually came to discuss something else."
"Oh? Something about the recent murders I assume?"
"Correct. Turns out, the person made a mistake."
"What?"
"The only way they got in Annie Carters room was lockpicking. They made the small mistake of believing that if they throwed the bobby pin away we wouldn't find it. They were wrong and we were able to get a print off it."
"And who is the killer?"
"Judy Jenson." The room grew cold as soon as the name of L's mother left Wills lips and L sat there, unmoving.
"Look L, the reason I came was to ask you if you know who she'll go after next."
"Yeah. Of course I do."
"Well, who is it?"
"So far, Ms. Conrad, who knew about how she treated me and called the police on her. Second, Annie Carter, who was her patient who tricked her into believing I was the reincarnation of Satan." L took a moment, thinking deeply.
"If I didn't know any better, her next victim will be my father."
.....................
"William, you better be right about this." Chief Dunby said as they drove to the old abandoned house. It was night, and William couldn't shake the feeling that something very bad was about to happen.
....................
As L had suspected, his father was indeed dead. Judy hadn't been abke to torture him because of when they had arrived. He was alive when they got there, but the poison used for Annie Carter was used for him, and he died 2 hours later. Now the real question was: How was she alive and who was she going to go after next?
