I am an animal lover straight down the line, and I would like to share a story with you. I have a cat which goes outside on a regular basis. He is part Himalayan and Asian leopard, who goes by the name of Ernie. One evening, I was in my bedroom when a family member called to me. She told me to hurry up and see what he had brought to the door. I wasn't sure what to expected at the time, but whenever I worked out the window he was carrying something brown. At first, I thought it was a shrew. I went outside to get a closer look and realized that it was not a shrew or a mouse. It was actually a baby rabbit. I poked my cats rear end in order to get him to drop it and picked up the small baby rabbit. The next had been slightly injured but it was in good health.
The rent was very small sitting in the palm of my hand. I pet the little rabbit for some time until I went to the corner of some bushes outlining the house and put it down on the ground. I went inside for a while to wash my hands, and went back out to see if it has left. It was gone, my guess would be that it scurried into the bushes to hide. The funniest part about this is the thought of my cat carrying a living rabbit home. If I could have done this day over I would have taken my camera to take a snapshot of this strange circumstance. I know I did the right thing releasing it to the wild, but this is one of those stories that I'll remember vividly for most of my life.
