You were the boat and I was the leak..
You were the light switch and I was faulty wiring...
You were the puzzle, I was an extra piece. 
You were the bed, I was only the sheet...


You let go too easily, and I held on to tight. 
You went about your days, and I stayed up at night. 
You went to our favourite restaurants without me, I couldn't eat, so I would drink.
You forgot that you stood by my side, I was waiting for you to get back on track and finish the ride...


You made a home, you found a way, meanwhile all I did was run away.
You found love and you settled down, all of my demons followed me to another town.
You we're handed your throne and crown, I fought until I was weak and still got thrown down.
You never think about me, sometimes I dream you're still around...
Dreams where my heart feels safe and sound.
Tomorrow awaits, a brand new day. 
Maybe this time I'll bend instead of break. 
Who knows what will happen, but all I can say, I'm close to shattering and I wish that someone would stay.
