Stacked neatly in ordered rows, transparent boxes surrounded Taylor. It had taken a great deal of effort to figure out how to get here. He was finally in the conscious mind. The ’realm’ for lack of a better word was really just an organized storage for thoughts and memories kept at the forefront of his mind. Of course this was potentially dangerous waters, the First Hunter was possibly the most dangerous man to ever live; how would he react to this invasion.

A bright red light flickered about the place sorting the boxes as if they had somehow become out of order. Occasionally it would pick up a box and place it at a projector of sorts that would display something of relevance. It struck Taylor as strange that the light put the same box back on display afterwards.

Carefully Taylor picked up one of the boxes and peered inside. An image of men wielding batons that sprayed fire and ice on a group of faceless people.

’That must be a plan he has worked out.’ Taylor ponders to himself.  Next to that neat little stack he notices a large amount of boxes with red glows. Peering inside the nearest one Taylor watches a violent and brutal attack. The large group of men with tasers and clubs against a very large and muscular sub. Unable to look away he watches the group relentlessly pummel him for several long minutes before it finally collapses. A few gestures later the memory ends.

’That is the kind of thing that makes it necessary to stop him. This is not just about murder, it’s senseless violence.’ a lucky glance finds a shadowed area with faded blue light boxes. Unlike the rest, these were strewn about and discarded like garbage. ’Strange, it is unlikely I am in his conciousness after all that effort; it is almost as if I am somewhere that supplies his conscious thought with memories on demand. If I am somewhere like short recall then why are there all these dusty boxes over here in the back.’

A look inside the nearest box reveals a memory that he has seen before and a realization comes to mind. Whatever that glowing thing is, it is not natural. It is controlling what he sees and fueling memories that it desires him to have while hiding those that don’t serve it’s purpose. ’Well, if I am here to mess with him I suppose it wont hurt to show him one of these almost forgotten memories.’

Taylor grabs a box from the blue discarded memories and uses the cover of the neatly stacked boxes to avoid the glowing being as it goes about it’s work. Slowly he makes his way to the forward table and waits for his moment.

He opens the box in his hands and gently lifts the strange and almost incorporeal object from its home and sets the box down on the floor. The object seems to react to his touch and warmly embraces the interaction much like an animal after a long period of neglect. Seeing the being move to the back of the room he seizes the opportunity.  He leaps up from his position and grabs the angry memory from it’s box and replaces it quickly with the blue memory. This new memory in his grasp was hot and energetic, almost resistant to being moved. As the new memory begins to play the dim light from the front of the room slowly gains a blue tint.

Taylor ducks down quickly while wrestling the memory into the empty box. Grasping it closed tightly under his arm he quickly sneaks back towards the other memories while the being rushes over to investigate. Watching carefully from the shadows the dreamer enjoys the chaos he has stirred.  The being tosses up the boxes in the area making a mess of it all trying frantically to find the lost memory. While the memory plays on and the light grows softer the creature becomes even more frantic.

Suddenly grasping a suitable box after it’s chaotic search the being swipes the box with the blue memory aside and replaces it with its new box. The room quickly returns to the way it was; except, Now the being was alot more red and begins to search the whole room.

’Looks like I have worn out my welcome.’. Taylor thinks to himself and closes his eyes to concentrate on the next idea to try.

When he opens his eyes again he finds himself in a dark foggy room with a red and green light slowly approaching him. ’Okay, don’t panic, lets see how this plays out.’ a glance down and he realzes he still holds the memory but now instead of a box, it is a sphere.

A few moments later the green light starts to take form in the mist and footsteps can be heard. “You’re not supposed to be here.” comes a familiar voice.

The red glow also starts to take form and the larger form makes louder footsteps. “Intruders are not allowed!” shouts the larger red glow.

Taylor squints to see what approaches as the green glow takes form and becomes a human like form that actually looks alot like himself.

“Get a good look googly eyes? What are you holding in your hands?”

The larger red form gains definition and it also looks like Taylor except much larger in size and muscle. “Let’s smash it before he can use it against us.”

“You wouldn’t smash a memory would you?” Taylor gambles.

“There has not been a memory in here for millenia.  There is no way that there is one her now.” the green Taylor says skeptically.

“What if it is though, it looks an aweful lot like the angry memory from those dreamer folks.”

“Actually you would be right big guy, this is exactly that.  I could let you have it, for a price.”

“Why should we trust you?” the green guy suggests.

“I don’t think you have a choice if you want any memories at all.”

Two blue lights illuminate slowly in the fog. “You can get more?”

“I will make you a deal. I will bring you a blue memory if you tell me how to find the conscious part of this mind.”

“Are they blue like me or blue like her.” the forms ask as they quickly take form.

“Blue like her.” He replies pointing to the saddest looking one of the two girls that looked a great deal like the queen.

The indicated girl immediately perks up. “Bring me a memory and it’s a deal.”
