I ran to an alley way and stopped at a wall. "Shit!" I turned, he was right there, inches from me. He came running fast. My heart was beating like a drumroll. I was blindly touching the wall mentally praying to find something like a blunt object or any means of defense, when BANG I felt like my chest was soccer punched by train. I awoke, finding myself in my bedroom. I was drenched in sweat. After calming myself down i took a deep breath and grabbed my phone and looked at the screen. It read 1:40 AM. "Damn" i whispered. Ever had those nights where after waking from a bad dream  you want it to immediately be morning? Yeah me too. So I just sat up an went my phone. Chatted on Facebook, browsed through YouTube. Eventually i just put it back on the dresser and stared up to the ceiling. I thought about going to the living room and watching some tv. I turned it on and watched COPS i love that show. Around 4:00 my girlfriend awoke and found me on the couch. "Babe?" She called out. "What are you doing up? I felt for you but you weren't there." "Sorry, i couldn't get back to sleep." More likely i wouldn't allow myself to go back to sleep. "Why not?" She asked. "I had a bad dream." "Oh sorry." She came over an hugged me from behind. I'd like to point out I'm 5'4 she's 6'4 so for her its like hugging a tall kid. So she bent really far. She came to the couh and sat next to me, her arm around my shoulder, "Anything i can do?" "Nah, its fine. I'll be there soon" "Kay." She headed back to bed. I immediately followed after. I got in and laid in the dark. I could feel her wrapping her arms around my frame. I never went back to sleep the rest of that night but it was nice to know she was there to keep me company.
