Her Day. Read Count : 116

Category : Stories

Sub Category : Drama

Her hair drifted through the wind. Her face was pale as if it hasn't seen the sun in years. The day was still dark, and the dew on the grass was cold and shone like silver. She stared across the lake, taking a deep breath. She never wanted to leave this spot. But she knew she would have to. The sun rose, and the first light of the warm summer day glazed her skin, it warmed her.

Like always, someone came up to her. And in a sweet voice, they would tell her it's time to leave. They would take her to the big house in which she stayed. Others would join her, they all had lab coats on. They would tell her what her favorite things were. They said that she loved this, and liked that. She never paid much attention.

And every day would be the same. And every day would be forgotten. The only thing that remained was her spot. The spot by the lake, just before daybreak. There she found peace. And there she would stay until they came to get her.
