I work as a firewatch and there are a few stories I have to tell. Basically a my job is to sit in a lookout tower and call in any fires, or fire dangers to the forest.
Okay so one day I decided that I was going to take a hike down to the lake, probably do some fishing, while on the way there I stumble across a campsite. But the tents are shredded and there are signs of a struggle, like something or someone was dragged away. I radio it in and wait for the rangers to arrive.
Now you are probably thinking that a bear did this, but it's winter and they are usually hibernating, my next thought should be other campers, yet the frantic bare footprints show that whatever it was the people where trying to flee from it and fast.
Two weeks later, two bodies are found they matched the description of the driver's licenses found at the campsite. The one apparently died from blunt force trauma , like they where hit by a bus. The other died because of cardiac arrest, but had no prior history of heart disease.
