Running through the woods

Feeling so exhilerated

While my hair expands in the wind.

I feel a smile tingling

On the edges of my face.

I slowly come to a walk

As the stranger dressed in black

Walks up to me.

We circle for a few minutes, each asking questions and giving answers.

Finally, I pull away.

I knew enough about the stranger to know that he was bad news.

He told me he wasn't going inside.

He said he was going to stay in the woods and never go back.

I ran away from the stranger, back into the comforts of the woods.

I felt the smile again as the wind flew in my face.

In the woods was the only time I felt alive.

But my thoughts always returned to the stranger in the woods.
