The glowing, red ring sent smoke swirling into the air, wafting throughout the room. The stick rose, towering over the stone, lotus flower holder, only to be broken down due to the burning. Ash soon began to fall into the holder and the table, surrounding the ever shortening incense stick; orange turning to red, turning to dark grey, then crumbling into ash. The bottom of the holder was blackened from the repeated use, and lack of cleaning. A representation of eternity: never forgotten, to be passed down from Mother to Daughter, Father to Son. And thus, the its memory shall be forever saved. Save the image. Though, it is just incense.
