I crawled outside my head
Just to forget what it was you said
I waited to hear the songs of a bird
Just to find no sound at all, not a single word.
I looked for my favorite sun, always shining above
Just to see a blank nothing in the sky I once loved.
I noticed just then that I’d crawled outside my head
Just to find the world was dead.
