CASTLE FRONT GATES

“What do you think of me?” Princess Bianca asked.

“I think you treat people horrible and you should find another Prince, sorry, but it's honesty and I don't think we'll work out.” Prince Derrin said.

Princess Bianca stared at him in disbelief. “I am the most beautiful princess in all of the land! How dare you!” she said before riding her carriage away from the kingdom.

“Your Majesty, it's the fifth princess you let out today.” Assistant Estes said. “Will you ever find someone you like?”

Prince Derrin looked down at the walls of the castle. “It's not just looks you know? All the princesses just come on with lipstick and dresses thinking I'll fall for them.”

Estes smiled. “It's good you know true value your Majesty, but you have to marry someone!”

Prince Derrin sighed and went down the stairs.

DINING HALL

“Did you send Bianca out?” Queen Valerie asked.

“Whatever,” Prince Derrin replied.

“My boy, you need to find a woman to marry!” King Thunder boomed in his loud voice.

Princess Diaz fluck out his tongue at Princs Derrin.

“Your Highness, may I bring my daughter here to the palace? She has always dreamed of being in a castle.” Estes asked.

“Oh yes of course,” Queen Valerie said.

“I must go now to my room,” Prince Derrin said pushing his chair back to the table.

THE NEXT DAY, THRONE ROOM

Estes bowed to Prince Derrin. “Your Majesty, meet Princess Letyaya from the kingdom of Terradoor.” she said.

Prince Derrin rolled his eyes. “Send her in,”

Beside him stood a girl about his age, laughing at the Princess.

Prince Derrin noticed her.

She put up her hands like she was holding a part of a dress and walked tiptoe mockingly.

Prince Derrin laughed, and the princess scowled.

“Let us go, my prince!” Princess Letyaya called out, grabbing his hand with her silky glove.

The girl waved at him and whispered: “Good luck-”

Once again Prince Derrin laughed.

“How are you settling in, Jeannette?” Estes asked, combing her daughter's hair.

“Wonderful, this place is wonderful, so nice and huge, thank goodness I didn't get lost yet.” Jeannette laughed.

“Good darling, you'll be sleeping here for the night.” Estes said.

Jeannette's eyes opened wide. “Really?!” she questioned surprisingly.

“Only for a week, you'll be returning back to Parsley Oak.”

“Alright, I'll make the best of my week.” Jeannette said, twirling.

“But you will have to help with the dining and room cleaning from time to time,” Estes continued.

“Oh, that's okay, I have plenty of experience!” Jeannette hugged Estes.

Estes stopped her. “Before you go on a tour, can you clean the Prince's room?” she asked.

Jeannette shrugged. “Fine, but you owe me one.” she said before leaving to go upstairs.

PRINCE DERRIN'S ROOM

*Knock Knock*

“Come in,” Prince Derrin said.

Jeannette came in a maid's dress with a cute white bonnete on the top of her head.

“You look awful,” Prince Derrin said.

“It's not like a wanted to wear this,” Jeannate laughed.

Prince Derrin dropped his headphones. “Maid, I think you need to get my headphones,” Derrin said.

Jeannate rolled her eyes. She picked up the headphones and lightly punched Prince Derrin in the shoulder.

“Oww, that hurt.” Prince Derrin said sarcastically.

“I'm Jeannette,” she smiled.

“I'm-”

“Prince Derrin of Jinxel.” she finished. “Of course I know you, your a prince.”

Prince Derrin laughed. “Then why aren't you falling for me?” he asked.

“Funny,” Jeannette said. “Now stop disturbing me, I'm doing work.”

MAID'S QUARTERS

“Jeannette, come my darling.” Estes waved her hand.

Jeannette entered the room. “Yes, mother?”

“Queen Valerie has offered you to sit with her and her family at the dining hall.” She said.

“She asked what??!” Jeannatte gasped.

“C'mon, you can't keep them waiting!” Estes said slightly pushing Jeannatte.

Jeannatte walked to the table. “Hello your Highness,” she bowed.

“Oh no need to be so formal.” Queen Valerie said.

Jeannatte sat down at the end of the table. The Queen gestured for Jeannette to sit down beside her, and she did, but Queen Valerie moved to the other side.

Prince Derrin was beside her, kicking her leg. Jeannatte started kicking back, laughing.

“Dinner is served.” Altwalter said, putting fancy dishes on the table.

“Is this your everday meals? Jealous!” Jeannatte whispered to Derrin.

“Call me your majesty before speaking, peasant.” Derrin joked.

Jeannatte stomped on Derrin's foot.

“Ow!” Derrin said quietly.

Jeannette started drinking water.

“Jeannatte, we have a surprise which your mom agreed with.” Queen Valerie started.

Jeannatte gestured that she was listening.

“You are going to live in the castle!”

*SPLAT-OOO*

In went spits of water - in Derrin's face.

“I'm sorry!” Jeannatte gasped, giving tissues to Derrin.

“It's okay, J.” Derrin said, wiping his shirt.

Diaz, Derrin's sister asked Jeannatte to come with her.

“Yeah? If it's about the spill I'm really sorry!”Jeannatte said.

“You like Derrin, don't you?” Diaz asked.

“WHA-? NAAAH! NOOU, NEBBR - HOW? WHAT?! WHHY!? UH...” Jeannatte stammered.

“What I meant was, Prince Derrin and I only met like seven days ago!”

Diaz stared at her. “Yeah you like him, and there's nothing to be afraid of!”

Jeannette sighed. “We're just good friends!”

“Oh,okay.”

Jeannatte stayed at a guest bedroom beside Derrin's.

A FEW MONTHS LATER

“Breakfast is ready!” Altwalter said.

“Race you there!” Jeannette said.

Derrin and Diaz looked at her.

“Your on!” Derrin said.

“Hell na, you guys are going down.” Diaz said before raising the pad-boards and sliding down the stairs.

They stopped at the dining hall and raced to their seats.

“First!” Diaz said.

King Thunder looked sadly at the three of them.

“What happened, dad?” Derrin asked.

“Estes died.”

Jeannette zoomed out.

“No-” Jeannette said softly. She ran straight to her house, which was a long ride away from the kingdom.

“We can't leave her dad.” Diaz said.

King Thunder sighed. “I'll call a carriage to come immediately,”

“But beware!” Queen Valerie commented. “When your at the vilage lot's of people will recognize you.”

“Then we'll ask for guards!” Derrin replied.

“And you've never seen the village.” Ezura called.

Diaz stopped. “We'll be fine, we're 21.” she said.

“I'm just worried, even we have never seen the village,” Queen Valerie said.
