The Lying Fake President has authorized a systematic separation of children from their parents. This unconscionable process is intended to intimidate the immigrant families seeking asylum from unbearable, dangerous conditions in their home countries. Many of these folks are coming from Central America escaping drug cartel violence and life threatening poverty. Senator Jeff Merkley, D-OR attempted to visit a US immigration intake camp in Brownsville, TX yesterday. He had reason to believe the children, ranging from ages 4-17, were being kept in cages without mattresses after being removed from their parents. Sen. Merkley was denied entry to this detention camp that was formerly a Wallmart store. The detention center called the local police to force him to leave the entrance area to the building. Hard to believe that this is happening today in America. This is nothing less than a humantarian disgrace that will live on in history books for eternity. Who among us is only in this country due to our ancestors immigrating? Everyone of us. Yes, there need to be rules and procedures to immigration but extreme conditions like fear for life should be mitigating circumstances open to exceptions. And the forced separation of children from their parents is an unacceptable, draconian tactic that violates the very core of human family values. Where is the outrage? We must let our current Congressional officials know this is not acceptable. In November, we must vote out those Congressional people who do not stand against this action. The Lying Fake President and those in Congress who support his hideous agenda must be removed from office. Get those sons-of-bitches out of Washington!
