I weep and cry
As I look to the sky
A silent voice in the dark
No one can hear
No one shall hark
Yet I am haunted by fear
Of the silence in the dark
Why is it that no one cares?
Everything seems so unfair
When will life
Give birth to love
And all strife
Leave on the wings of a dove?
The pain stabbing like a knife
It hurts me when you see
All but the pain inside of me
My soft brown eyes
Look to you
Begging for help and receiving lies
I no longer know what to do
So I lay looking to the skies
Hoping for an answer
Sending up a prayer
All I want is for you to care
Like I do for you
All I want is for you to be there
Just like I am for you
Because I always will, I swear
I wish you could see
Every silent tear
It kills me inside
Makes me want to scream
I feel like I may die
I thought we were a team
Please, oh please, hear me
