I couldn't sleep. Every time I closed my eyes, I saw their cold, dead faces. Would I ever get rest? I went to the bathroom and splashed water on my face. It wasn't my fault they died, but I felt like it was. I didn't stop the attack. I could have, should have, didn't. The remaining friend I had, told me there was nothing I could have done. But the look on Mrs. Burke's face told me otherwise. At the funeral, she looked at me once. A jumble of emotions on her face, but the strongest one was the rage.

I could've fought against the chains more. Saved them, but I was weaker than normal. All I wanted to do was see Alex again, but he would want me to stay strong. I turned my head to the sky. If only I could call upon the spirits once more. A simple spell could let me see him once. I fidgeted with my wedding ring.

"Vocas mortor waperous," I said as a Hail Marry. I felt something surge in me. It worked!

"Hey." A familiar voice came from my left. Alex was standing there. I rushed into his arms.

"I love you, and I know I need to stay strong, but I don't think I can," I told him, seeking advice.

"You have to stay strong, for all of us over here." He said, "And for the two of you." He placed a hand on my stomach. I was so confused. "Goodbye love, name her Golden for me." With that, he smiled and was gone.

I didn't know. "Goodbye Darling, and I will." I blew a kiss to the sky. "Golden." I rubbed my stomach, Our little Golden.
