Bakery, Chapter 3: Read Count : 118

Category : Books-Fiction

Sub Category : Thriller

I didn't go to school that day. The entire day, all I did was sit in a secret area my old best friend and I made. Her name was Kaylee.  We were best friends, this was before Ashlyn came, Kaylee and I found a tree house with a swing. We fixed it up as good as new. We made it sturdy, but I didn't expect that I would have to go to Kaylee's funeral because I didn't take the time to fix a really lose part on the floor. I cried for days, I missed her. Because of me Kaylee is dead, so when I'm sad and I wish I were dead I go there and wait for the floor to cave while I'm standing on it. But it never does, I even sit on the most lose parts...but it is like something is holding it up...I've even tried jumping on it. Once I made it home, I knew my mom knew I skipped school. Her face said it all.

"Hi," I said nervously.

"Mind telling me why you skipped school?" Mom asked, "and it better be a good reason." Oh, it was, mom, it was.

"My life...it's falling apart!" I said, "and if you don't see it, and don't care...then that's on you!" I took off, I ran upstairs and dug my face into my favorite pillow. I looked at my radio and turned it on...I listened to the music.

"I'm Falling To Pieces!" The radio sang...I sang along as I walked to the door and lock it. I couldn't handle anymore, I can't take having a life... So I opened the window and looked down. I grabbed about a piece of paper and a pencil, and began to write my last words...ever...
