Standing in front of this discolored mirror stained with remnants of toothpaste
I see a girl
She is smiling some would even say happy
Below the exterior which she forms to fit others perceptions is someone far from who she is
Pieces of who she used to be are scattered  behind her like a trail of misery
It’s hard to look into this mirror
In this mirror she sees the pain that her life has belittled her to
These memories of her life offer no peace
