Carys - The Box

All of us have something wrong with us in our set of triplets. Brook has has Depression, Ashlin was suicidal before and.. well, there's me. The one who is still broken after years of tape covering me, engulfing me in suggestions and therapy. That box contains some sort of ticking time bomb, ready to explode our family apart. Or just me.

For once, It isn't what we expect. A rope strewn with fairy lights and other decerations cascade out to the box. Mom announces that we are having a Garden Party soon, and we have to invite someone we meet in school. Brook looks joyful, Ashlin looks the opposite, and I feel like I might throw up. All these strangers. Leaving all their rubbish. All their germs around. Mum glances at me with a panic-stricken fce and fetches a glass of water. I sip it quietly as she explains the idea. It is to be in 5 days time, and we start school in 2 day. I shiver in my seat as the panic sets in. My breathing slows as I calm down, my heart rate dropping to normal. I stare at mum, wondering where she got this idea from. All I know is that I won't be there for long.

Mum sits down with me after and gets out a file. My file. She explains about my new therapy router, how I don't have to attend the party if it stresses me to much. All I say is 'Why"...
