Ashlin - 12, Death Drive

I stand staring at he new, large villa in front of us. Brook squeals and runs inside. Carys looks like she might faint any second. I'm bewildered. I never thought I'd be living is a villa of all places! I walk slowly in, wiping my feet on the doormat thoroughly so to not cover he carpet in mud. Mum and Dad are having a semi-private moment, so we leave them to it. Brook cambers up the stairs to claim her room. 2 of us have to share, and guess where Brook went. 

I open the door to my new room. The smell of fresh paint engulfs me as I step in. The walls are aqua coloured, with pictures of the sea covering the walls. It's actually quite pretty. Carys straightens a picture frame quietly. Oh, I forgot to mention. Carys also has OCD. It hasn't been too bad lately, but a couple of months ago it was really bad. She nearly tried to kill herself, she couldn't take it. Mum is making her go to therapy when we've settled in. 

There are 2 beds in either corner of the room. I take the left, Carys the right. A white bedside table and blue nightshade sit to the right of me as I lay on the bed. I need more decoration in this place

Mum calls us down for a family meeting. I rush down the stairs, Carys walking slowly behind, as if the move has made her more mature. As we sit down, I notice a small box in the centre of he table. 

We all recognise this. 

And it isn't good news
