Prologue - A Burning Hell

It was a matter of time until his mom would call him to go back home, it was getting late anyway.
Peter was a 16 years old boy, his hair dark brown and quite short, his eyes a dirty brown. The boy wasn't tall, but wasn't short either. He was incredibly thin.
Peter had been thinking about his past again... Something that usually would make him enormously nervous. But now the young boy didn't want to think about it.
His mom was already cooking dinner probably, and he was quite hungry indeed. Peter's mom said something about some homemade pizza, which the boy was excited to try.
Peter was right outside the building he lived in, sitting on a bench in front of the door. He used to do that often when he was feeling confused so he could organise his thoughts. He had in fact named that bench as "Saviour" since that was the bench that allowed him to think of many deep and smart thoughts that actually brought him quite far in life.
...
One hour had passed and his mom hadn't called him yet, but Peter still decided to go back home. It was getting cold. The sky outside was coloured in an orangy red, night was definitely coming.
Peter had actually brought the keys so he wouldn't bother his mom or grandmother with the bell ring. He opened the entrance door with a silent click. A weird smell could be noticed from upstairs.
The boy climbed the stairs to the second floor and took the keys out of his pocket once more, his little smile had now vanished, the smell intensified.
Peter felt like he shouldn't open the door... Something clearly was wrong: his mom hadn't called him, there was no sound coming from the inside, not even the TV his grandmother would keep on the whole day... And that weird smell seemed to come right from inside his house? Peter took a step forward and put the key on the door. He took a turn to the left with the key and another silent click occurred... But this time, the young boy didn't pay attention to it... He finally understood what was going on.
The apartment was on fire.
Peter couldn't even walk inside, the apartment was almost totally destroyed. The boy couldn't even recognize the inside.
Peter then realized he couldn't go downstairs anymore, the first floor had already collapsed. The boy decided to go to his uncle's apartment, which was on the third floor, and see if there was a way out through there.
Peter couldn't believe any of this was real, which was the reason he hadn't began crying. Although, the boy has barely any strength to walk fast, he was pretty much just walking as slow as possible while his mind was totally blank...
As he reached upstairs, the door was already burnt in ashes. Peter could see his dead cousin, partially burnt, his body already vanishing in ashes. Peter quickly looked away. His cousin probably tried to reach the door, but the fire must've attacked really fast... The boy didn't want to think of it.
His cousin's parents were probably already dead as well... It must've been an awful sight for the cousin.
Peter moved towards his cousin's room, there should be a window that would get him to the garden... That was the boy's only chance of escaping.
The window was right there, already broken, but the ground was filled with holes the fire had created... Peter had to be careful.
He took careful steps towards the window, almost falling to the floor below a few times. Peter had beenm holding his breath for the longest time, but he accidentally allowed a sip of air into his lungs. The air was full of ashes, which made Peter lose focus of what he was doing. The boy couldn't breathe, which was making him turn red. He took a desperate step on the windows direction... But slipped as he touched the ground.
Peter hit his head on the border of the window, losing consciousness and falling down to the garden...
