Authors note:  Hey if you've read this far thanks, I really enjoy writing these mini chapters they might not be good but that doesn't mean it's not fun to write anyways I just wanted to say thanks for reading these. 



    The day after the incident kenshin wanted to speak to me about what I'd be doing,  "so I was thinking that you could just be a maid but I treat you better then one more like a friend. Understand?" I stare at him blankly for a moment "I have to think about the situation I'm in" I think to myself, I reluctantly tell him "sure but I won't do anything that puts me to out of my comfort zone, ok?"  he looks at me thinks for a moment and nodded "of course!" I got nervous about the pause but didn't think much of it. After our little conversation he showed me around the house where the bathroom, kitchen, and bedrooms were he showed me what he wanted me to do he also showed me how to tell time in there day in age, so I know when to make breakfast,  lunch , and dinner. Today was my first day I decided to make dinner before I did anything else , I made miso soup with some dumplings with red bean paste in the middle,  I put some on the trays and brought one of them to kenshin's room I knock on the door and when he answers I slide the door open and put the tray in the room. As I'm about to slide the door shut a ever so soft but dominant voice yearning for me "hey...  Why do you have to be so mean come on come eat with me it'll be lonely to eat by yourself."  my heart skips a beat at his words "umm.. Umm you sure"  he nods very aggressively I take the food that was waiting for me out of the hallway I sit closer to the door so I'm not to close to him, he looks at me sadly and thinks for a moment  then slowly picks up his tray to make sure not even the slightest crumb falls then comes and sits next to me. I bite into one of the dumplings, they were pretty good  "chei....  Are you scared of me you didn't want to eat with me or sit next to me."  I look at him in shock then think for a moment so I can word my words properly "it's not that I'm scared of you its just that I just meet you in all and when I realized  that everything kinda sunk in that your basically a stranger..." he nodded but didn't say anything and he continued to eat, the silence was eerie but in a way calming. After I bit into one of the dumplings kenshin looked over at me, gave the slightest smirk and reached his large hand toward me. At the sight of it I flinched but all he did was put his hand on my shoulder, I opened my eyes and his face was right there his breath carsed my cheek then out of nowhere he put his lips just inches away from my cheek, I felt something warm soft yet slimy slide across my cheek I'm wide eyed in surprise not knowing what to do, I feel my face grow hot my heart is beating so fast I'm scared kenshins going to hear it. Hes  snickering  at my dumbfounded face "you had some red bean paste on your face I was just getting it off for you, nothing to get embarrassed about." I was frustrated, embarrassed I didn't know what to do I got up "excuse me I will eat in my room the next time I eat with you is when you learn your manners!" I bend down  to pick up my tray and turn to leave.  That night was lonely just as he said but I didn't  care, that was my first peaceful night in a while.
